| ASCE Manual 54, "Sedimentation Engineering"
(V. A. Vanoni, ed.) was issued in 1975. The manual has been a
valuable source of information concerning sedimentation engineering for
three decades. Marcelo Garcia of the University of Illinois is
spearheading the effort to issue a revised manual. As part of that
effort, I have written Chapter 3:
